SERVICE ABOVE SELF AT VAN METER

‘Service Above Self’ at Van Meter encourages students to engage and contribute in both local and global volunteer, donation and creative projects.

There are many ways to participate!  Participate through our K-Kids Club, collaborating with Kiwanis for local service projects. Our "Card Corners" enable letter-writing to community members like first responders and veterans. Donation drives support the local community and our Guatemalan partner school. Opportunities span all ages from Kindergarten to 5th grade.

Service Above Self is a district wide initiative part of the LGUSD Strategic Plan to support community and global citizenship learning opportunities.
