ART DOCENTS

The Art Docent Program at Van Meter brings art museums and creative workshops right into the classrooms every month!

Our visual arts curriculum progressively builds art appreciation, aesthetics and creative skills throughout the elementary years. We begin with fundamentals in Kindergarten and gradually build up to sophisticated concepts in the upper grades.

Our curriculum exceeds California State Standards for the Visual Arts and complements the Los Gatos Union School District’s academic program. Our goal is to help our students grow into creative, innovative and critical-thinking individuals.
